“In 50 years, Kelton's The Deficit Myth will be more widely read than Mises' Human Action, Hayek's Road to Serfdom, and Hazlitt's Economics in One Lesson combined.” (Mr.Keynes) Mises, Hayek, Hazlitt, and Kelton are scientifically stone dead. But living economists are too stupid to realize the inconsistencies. You can tell them anything, and they will repeat it: “In economics we should strive to proceed, wherever we can, exactly according to the standards of the other, more advanced, sciences, where it is not possible, once an issue has been decided, to continue to write about it as if nothing had happened.” (Morgenstern, 1941) Probably it's worse. Economists promote anything they are paid for. They are not scientists, but salespeople.
